The Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks aren’t looking very super these days. The teams that met in the last Super Bowl are quickly losing sight of next February’s big game. At least Seattle, which lost 35-28 at Kansas City, still is tied for first place in the NFC West, albeit at 4-3. The Seahawks have lost two straight.

Burress doing his best not to show up Eli Manning this season (AP)
Resting at home in the offseason, Plaxico Burress popped in videotapes of his first season with the New York Giants and watched the show. It embarrassed him. The problem wasn’t his play. His 76 catches for 1,214 yards and seven touchdowns in 2005 were just a shade under his career season with the Pittsburgh Steelers three years earlier.

Steelers part owner McGinley dies of cancer (AP)
Jack McGinley, the brother-in-law of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr. and a part owner of the team, has died of cancer. He was 85. Family members said McGinley, of Pittsburgh, died Saturday. McGinley also was a partner in a wholesale beer company. He was married to the late Marie Ellen Rooney McGinley.
